Job Overview and Requirements

The Financial Clerk assists with and responsible for various financial/accounting operations.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Attendance at work is an essential function of this position.
  1. Deposits
    1. Read and analyze files in Collection Partner or spreadsheet to determine proper account to credit.
    2. Data entry of large number of checks and/or electronic payments
    3. Maintain daily deposit log.
    4. Have a good understanding of the PLA process and able to credit payments that require an additional level of analysis in order to credit to the proper account. Save proper documentation for PLA records.
  • Payoffs
    • Provide accurate and timely payoff information.
    • Thorough search of loaded claims using Hubbard/Collection Partner.
    • Have a good understanding of PLA clients. County/Client/collection type
    • Navigate RMS Dashboard to produce written statements.
      • Payoff search
      • County TAO sites
      • Search engines
    • Accurately search RMS Received Data for unloaded claims.
    • Attention to detail/cross check file codes – follow code instruction
    • Must be detailed oriented and efficient.
    • Enter information into Word Documents
    • Document Hubbard/Collection Partner files accurately.
  • Other Duties as Assigned

    • Review work for accuracy.
    • Ask questions when needed
  • Communication
    • Participate in team staff meetings.
    • Make recommendations for improving own workflow.
    • Assist other employees and co-workers by answering questions or providing assistance as time allows.
Qualifications:
  • One (1) or more years of related accounting or statistical data entry experience preferred. Willing to train the right person.
  • Goal oriented; Dependable, with strong work ethic and personal integrity.
  • Ability to contribute to positive office culture.
  • Ability to work overtime, on occasion.
  • Excellent organization, prioritization and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle stress, remain flexible, and multi-task.
  • Ability to take direction and open to feedback at all levels.
  • Ability to work and relate with people at all levels.
  • Demonstrate skills of poise, diplomacy and tact.
  • PC Proficient: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to learn Collection
  • Partner software program and QuickBooks.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Continual attention to detail.
Education and/or Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalency.
