Summary: Portnoff Law Associates, Ltd. is a medium-sized firm located in King of Prussia that provides legal services in the delinquent taxes/fees collection space for various government agencies. Our operations rely heavily on technology solutions including but not limited to Custom Software Solutions, Technology Infrastructure, Data Warehouse, Modern Communication and Productivity Technology Solutions. 
We are looking for a passionate, skilled IT Administrator who will be responsible for the effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operating and maintenance of systems hardware and software, networking, communications, and related infrastructure and provide necessary technical support for employees, contractors, and vendors.  The successful candidate will also participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure, operating/security procedures, and protocols.  
 
Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field with five (5) to eight (8) years of experience. 
  • Technical certifications are a plus (e.g. MSCE, CCNA, RHCSA).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Technical):
  •  Oversee all IT infrastructure, network, and devices to ensure 100% uptime and timely end user device management and connectivity support.
  • Troubleshoot problems with networks, web services, hardware and software, mail services and overall aspects of the network security.
  • Take initiative on routine maintenance, audit, and infrastructure upgrades as necessary.
  • Administer and escalate resolution to critical user support requests as necessary while effectively delegating tasks to vendors, peers, or contractors as applicable.
  • Work with vendors, including our Managed Services Provider, along with suppliers, contractors and peers as needed on various projects while communicating effectively and providing PLA leadership timely updates.
  • Responsible for the configuration, installation, and maintenance of desktop/laptop computers, servers, network, phone, security & printing equipment while working effectively with vendors or external technicians if applicable.
  • Work with public cloud environments for resource provisioning, debugging connectivity issues and working with MSP and ISPs to resolve issues or implement hybrid deployment solutions.
  • Automate routine tasks such as deployment of software, security policies, domain controller management, VPN, firewalls, antivirus, remote desktop management etc. 
  • Communicate within and outside the organization effectively and be a technology enabler.
  • Optimize network security, including assigning and administering user privileges.
  • Serve as a key contributor to proactive security testing, disaster recovery planning, updating security policies.
  • Effectively work on multiple projects, issues and tasks at a time while keeping the documentation up to date.
  • Consistently learn new tools, technologies, procedures, and best practices to improve operating performance as well as individual performance.
  • Inventory, organize IT assets, software/hardware, and other licenses effectively with Jira Asset Management or similar software and enables proactive/automated alerting, remediation and replenishment procedures.
  • Assist with user onboarding, off-boarding, provisioning technical resources and tools when necessary.
  • Make recommendations to enhance and streamline IT operations.
  • Encourage teamwork and promote the highest standards of professional conduct in dealing with employees, vendors, and others.

 Qualifications:
  •  Must demonstrate a thorough understanding of network operating systems, desktop operating systems and software (Microsoft Office 365: Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, PowerPoint and Outlook/Exchange), Internet, antivirus software, and ability to learn new software), troubleshooting procedures, networking components (fire walls, routers, hubs, ether switches), printers, faxes and other network peripherals, back-up system and recovery procedures, and telephone systems, and related equipment.
  • Well versed with Identity Management, secure IT operation best practices and procedures including safe password management, privacy practices and automated security and data governance methods.
  • Automation Experience with various scripting or programming languages as applicable such as windows batch files, linux shell scripts, python or perl scripting as needed.
  • Experience with basic cloud infrastructure networking, security and service configuration with Azure and AWS.
  • Well versed with networking configuration with Domain Controller, Active Directory, IP configurations, VLANs, Subnets.
  • Experience optimizing current and futuristic data security, backup and retention policies and access control.
  • Experience with configuration management, license management and automated endpoint management, deployments, device automation etc. 
  • Excellent time and project management, issue tracking, reporting and documentation skills using tools like Jira, Confluence, Jira Asset Management, Jira Service Management etc.
  • Initiative, including strong follow-up skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and flexibility to make quick changes in priorities.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with continual attention to detail.            
  • Dependable, with strong work ethic and personal integrity.                     
  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours and weekends, as needed to perform IT maintenance and address unforeseen problems.
